An article I wrote for Vancouver's Hush Magazine in the summer of 2011.

I wrote about 4 synopsis for Hush Magazine and this is the one I chose, that they never got back to me on.
The synopsis and my perspective on the summer of dreams and nightmares after the jump.

The beginning of the end during midsummer dream: No time like the present for a revolution

2011, the year of change, I see it, I feel it. Something’s up. Do you? It has been a long time coming and it with the world getting smaller and smaller, change is abrupt as it is immediate. It is true that we do feel some revolutions more than others. Some not right off the bat. I still haven’t been selected into the inner circles of Google Plus.  But, more importantly, these waves of change are affected through whatever we eat, drink and breathe, when we talk on the phone, surf, chat and Skype on internet. With the world and its future hanging in the balance of every crucial decision that is being made from not only the most powerful men (and it is men making these decisions), companies and institutions in the world. But, does the same go for ourselves: The full-time worker, the part-time worker, or even the non-worker at all? Right now, many major revolutions are off to the races. Both Green revolutions (see last issue) are in gaining ground, Gay/Lesbian rights are joyfully making headway, minorities, since the 60s, are being treated better than ever. If there were no revolutions, there would be no machine. There would be no machine without revolutions. There is no dream without a nightmare.
