from the people who brought you the (people) vs george lucas.

Early to Mid September Zhang Zimou (A Gun, A Woman and A Noodle Shop, House of the Flying Daggers) released a very odd cut trailer to promote the Christian Bale starring film. Trailer Studies Alert. The trailer cut was for Chinese audiences to gather hype and attract pending distributors to get his film distributed. This film was in distribution hell. It rose from the ashes to get picked up by Wrecken Hill Entertainment. The people who brought you the controversial picture about people vs George Lucas. I saw the movie, and it's pretty funny, for a guy that has saved film. The numbers speak for themselves. But I jeez, it's true that Star Wars has done a number on the psychological thought process of a lot. But what hasn't these days? That's a completely different story. But, the film is getting distribution, but that doesn't mean that it's over yet. I'm not too sure where this sits with me. Considering Bale just did The Fighter. We'll see. Literally and Metaphorically.
